Shalom - the Peace of Order...
When all you want is to be held… and held so tight that all the parts that seems to dissolving from you and falling apart in your life… would be held together in the encircled embraced of love infinite.
That all dark thoughts would turn into conscious streams of blurted speech and trembling gestures of confusion… And yet held in the warm palm enveloping yours and making the shadows recede.
Curled up in a foetal ball of hurt and emotions… vast enough to swallow the tremulous waves of the ocean… held in check by sheer will and eyes wide and defiant in the face of fear…
Lips trembling .. confusion amassing … stepping in faith… hands held out parting the mist, searching for the way, feeling the air, judging the shadows… Safe? Cold?
Or merely an eerie Silence.
Lord that you would reach out and grab my hand… keep me from the edge and place my steps, so that I shan’t fall. Keep me company that I shan’t be lonely – hold me in your arms… I want to hold you… even though you can’t be held.
